The Head of Government Relations & Corporate Responsibility sits in ANZ's Corporate Affairs division and is critical to helping us deliver on our purpose. Key responsibilities of the role will include the following: Lead critical government relations and corporate responsibility strategies and implementation for ANZ to support the priorities of the organization; Provide government relations and corporate responsibility advice and support to key stakeholders including the Board, CEO and New Zealand Leadership Team; Oversee ANZ's Staff Foundation payroll giving, MoneyMinded financial literacy and Staff Volunteering programmes; and Play a key role in formulating and delivering ANZ's Corporate Affairs strategies. Role Location: Auckland or Wellington Role Type: Permanent, FulltimeOu Pukenga? - What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Ability to produce, consult and follow through on significant government relations and corporate responsibility plans and strategies; Strong communication, influencing and negotiating skills, and ability to provide thought leadership; Previous experience understanding and interpreting policy formulation at a government level; Sound and timely decision-making capabilities and an ability to demonstrate reliability and calmness in high-pressure situations; An ability to speak the truth to senior stakeholders; and Experience liaising with MPs and government officials.
