Leading the charge in fresh, healthy and (most importantly) delicious, ready-made meals. The impressive operation spans FMCG, wholesale as well as direct-to-customer with the added glamour of high-end catering. It is an incredibly exciting and fast-paced young company in major growth mode, plus the food produced at Jess’s Underground Kitchen is next to none in quality and flavour. The company has seen phenomenal growth and scale over the last few years and we are now seeking a Sales & Marketing ‘unicorn’ to support the management team and help take the business to the next level.In this role as Sales & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for setting the direction to grow this exciting brand. The role will be a blend of nurturing our existing partnerships, finding new sales channels as well as having a leading hand in the development of the marketing plans and further brand development.As a small business we are looking for a generalist in both Sales and Marketing and you'll need to be resourceful and flexible in your approach. You will ideally come with experience in the food business and more specifically with experience in the FMCG landscape.You will be a solution-led problem solver, commercially driven with the ability to develop strategy and growth.This is the perfect role for someone looking at taking the next step in their career, where you can have real impact and ownership, or alternatively someone looking to step away from your typical ‘corporate’ position and wanting a role where you'll make a big difference.Key attributes: Proven experience in a similar organisation with strong sales and marketing abilitiesA people person who loves to engage directly with clients, enjoys negotiations while at the same time has a keen eye on the market and can identify the next opportunitiesKnows the big picture, loves strategy and business plansBe able to develop and implement growth strategies, policies and identify key growth opportunitiesExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenSelf-motivated and highly organised, loves a good ‘to do’ listStrong work ethic and a built-in desire for continual improvement Warm friendly authentic personality and a good sense of humourMeticulous attention to detailKey buckets include: Managing and growing existing and new customers across our FMCG, B2B and B2C sales platformsSeeking out new and exciting opportunities for business development across the businessWorking closely with our Sales Support team to ensure they have the tools they need to manage and process salesCreating and implementing sales and marketing collateral and brand assets to support current and new customersCreating content to best communicate the JUK story to our customersWorking with an external designer on a new packaging project to be rolled out in 2023Website management and maintenance of brand imagery and metadataExcited by this? Please contact Michael Quayle on michaelq@juk.co.nz or call on 027 5426 190 Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?
