Description


Harvey Norman People Operations has an exciting opportunity for a fixed term Health & Safety Advisor to join our team for 12 months! Located at our Head Office in Manukau, this role is full time, working Monday to Friday with free car parking available.

We are looking for a success-driven person to ensure that our health and safety practices are effective, while providing support across our nationwide multi-site business. 

Working with us means you’ll be welcomed into a cohesive, hardworking and fun team and take responsibility for:

Advancing health and safety policy, processes and practices
Ensuring robust and effective risk management frameworks are continually improved
Building key stakeholder relationships internal and external of the business
Engaging with all levels the business and being liaison for the management team.
Lifting the health and safety capability across the business and championing a positive health and safety culture in day-to-day activities

You will be the type of person who enjoys working in a team environment, juggling queries as and when they occur, and continually finding ways to improve and be more effective.

The attributes we are looking for include:

Able to build relationships and collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders.
Experience in a health and safety advisory position or senior coordinator.
Experience in implementing health and safety processes and practices across complex and multi-site business structures.
Be comfortable with technology, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Microsoft Power BI skills are advantageous.
Experience in a health and safety position within the retail industry desired.
Be enthusiastic about improving health and safety in the workplace!
