Position Summary Daniel O'Connells Sons is seeking a Project Manager with a minimum of five years of construction experience. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day execution, project controls, project engineering, cost, risk, and business management of a specific project. The role involves coordinating and leading internal project teams, trade partners, and clients throughout construction, plant start-up, and turnover. The Project Manager will also oversee project timelines, budgets, trade partner contracts, negotiations, and reporting. Current Project The position is currently focused on the I-90 Bridge Project. The Project Manager will report to a designated Project Executive and collaborate closely with the project team. Essential Job Responsibilities Coordinate and manage project planning and scheduling. Manage project finances, including owner pay applications, cost oversight, and managing field staff/operations teams. Complete project buy-out and procurement, including scope review, negotiations, issuing subcontracts and purchase orders, and managing vendors and subcontractors. Prepare reports, production reports, and cost & revenue projections. Monitor construction progress and collaborate with the superintendent to resolve operational issues. Communicate with preconstruction teams, owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships. Represent the company in project meetings and provide necessary reports and documentation. Coordinate with other departments such as BIM, Scheduling, MEP, and Estimating. Participate in the company's continuous improvement initiatives. Establish and ensure compliance with project safety goals, including safety standards for DOC and subcontractor staff. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors. Position Qualifications Deep understanding of construction methods and procedures. Management experience, including financial and negotiation skills. Strong communication skills and conflict resolution abilities. Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex issues. Leadership qualities and team morale support. Strong work ethic and proactive attitude. Education & Experience Extensive knowledge of construction practices. Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience and training. At least 5 years of experience in construction project management or related roles. Supervisory experience with decision-making and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software (e.g., Procore), accounting software, and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera). OSHA 30 Certification required; LEED, Lean, CPR/First Aid certifications are a plus. Working Conditions This role requires working both indoors and outdoors on construction sites, including navigating stairs and ladders, and using personal protective equipment.
