Your Job

As a Java Server Developer you will be joining our multinational highly skilled team of developers that cover various disciplines and technologies. Although each developer brings his or her own perspectives and specialties, we consider development a joint effort. We belief that close cooperation is the key to a high quality product offering. Our developers take pride in contributing to a product offering with impact on society. Cooperation is facilitated by our friendly working environment and flat and informal local based structure. Ideas for solutions are brought to the table by everyone and jointly discussed and explored. Furthermore, we have a very diverse and multinational customer base with their specific (technological) challenges, hence never a dull moment.
Note that next to Java Backend Developers, we are also hiring i OS Developers and Android Developers. We don’t apply strict role boundaries, but fit roles and activities to personal skills and competences. A mixed function profile combining more roles is certainly an option.
Develop our Read ID Saa S server with security and scalability in mind
Contribute to the roadmap for Read ID, including adding new features and integrating with partners that provide complementary software products, e.g. facial recognition
Help developers working for our customers to best use the Read ID API, especially the server-side APIs (REST, XML, JSON)
Write API documentation for our customers
Contribute to our automated testing
Optionally contribute to our big-data analysis of our logging (Read ID Analytics)
Optionally become part of our Dev Ops/Cloud Ops approach
Work with and for customers from all over the world
Work in a small (Scrum) team, focussing on producing high quality code
Who are you?

You have a university (MSc) or applied university/college (HBO/BSc) degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Security or similar
You can speak and write English
You have a solid Java server development background (more than 7 years experience)
You have experience with Java EE/Jakarta, Spring, REST, XML, JSON
You are able to take the lead on complex issues and divide them into manageable, non-complex issues that you can implement and put into production together with the team
You have experience with continuous integration, e.g., Jenkins
Experience with Docker and AWS
Experience with relational databases, like Postgre SQL, My SQL, Oracle, etc.
You are security minded and have experience with OWASP
You are familiar with the ELK stack
You currently live at travelling distance from Enschede or Valencia, or are willing to relocate here. You work at least 2 days a week at the office.
