The Role Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and based at our modern open plan office in Addington, we are seeking a hands-on IT leader.

This role would be leading a small team of two (IT Specialist and Business Application Specialist) and be responsible for all day-to-day IT operations and leading key IT projects for Fern.

As stated, the role is based in Christchurch in a modern open plan office environment in Addington with free on-site parking facilities.

Key areas of responsibility: Mentoring and management of two direct reports and working closely with the Business Intelligence Specialist to deliver the company Digital and Systems Roadmap.

Proactively managing and supporting IT Systems, Tools and Services for Fern, including working alongside existing Service Providers, ensuring market-leading stability, reliability, security, and performance Have a key role in all projects to ensure the optimum use of digital solutions to deliver the best outcomes for our Customers, our People and the Business, delivering outstanding Project Management To ensure that IT systems, tools and services are operational, well maintained, are 'fit for purpose' to deliver day-to-day operational objectives of the business.

Hands on Adhoc support and troubleshooting across all systems with a range of users being inhouse and remote.

Ensuring our systems are secure.

Managing firewalls, access for internal users and guest users.

Ensuring our systems are available 24/7, and that our disaster recovery processes are up to date and working.

Knowledge/Experience Hands-on experience in a similar role Technical knowledge and experience with  Microsoft 365, Azure, Share Point, Active Directory and cloud based data platforms Experience leading cross functional project teams and outstanding project delivery Experience navigating telecommunication applications and devices Understands and administers LAN/WAN along with basic server management Security and backup What Do We Offer?We offer a competitive salary, free onsite parking and a great bunch of colleagues to work with.
