About the opportunity

As our Project/Programme Coordinator, you'll provide end to end support services to Project Managers and Programme Managers and be a key member of the project and support teams who work in partnership to deliver successful projects.

You'll connect information and tasks and provide insights about our customers to enable smooth delivery of our capital programme. Plus you'll work closely with relevant National Delivery Managers on their portfolio of projects to ensure a good understanding of tools and processes to give visibility and help drive performance

You'll take accountability for a variety of tasks including:

Being the Project Manager and Business point of contact for project support and information across all areas and lifecycle of a project
Reviewing Business cases and escalating any inherent risk associated to the achievability of the work and its implications to the wider portfolio/Programme
Developing, monitoring and/or maintaining metrics and reports customised to individual project needs, to help manage and improve management of project

This role is suitable for an experienced project coordinator, or a recent Engineering graduate who is keen on a career in Project Management. To be considered, your CV and covering letter will demonstrate:

3+ years' experience in a project environment; or you are an Engineering graduate who is striving to become an engineering Project Manager
Analytical experience to enable analysis of issues and identify exceptions
Strong financial acumen and a proven understanding of financial management systems
Proven experience and demonstrated advanced skills in the use of the Microsoft Office suite including MS Project, Excel & Office 365
A demonstrated ability with Information systems and SharePoint workspace tools
Excellent communication and written skills particularly the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and visually
Strong co-ordination, organisational and administrative skills
