We are delighted to be partnering with REL Group, based in Rakaia (25 min drive south from Rolleston), as we undertake a search for a Chief Financial Officer to join their team. Formed over 35 years ago, this privately owned business has grown to be a highly respected and innovative solutions provider of agricultural and farm equipment throughout New Zealand. They design, engineer, manufacture, service and import a comprehensive range, offering a full suite of "integrated solutions" - whether it be Liquid Storage Solutions, Bulk Material Handling and Storage or a more traditional range of rural equipment.

As an organisation they are progressive in their approach, investing heavily back into the business and take real pride in the service and solutions they offer. They have a strong and loyal workforce, built on trust and respect and which they want to continue to support and develop for the long term.

The Opportunity:

This position will sit on the Senior Leadership Team and has both operational and strategic responsibility for the full finance function as well as working across the wider business. For the right individual, this represents the chance to be an integral part of the company's future success. Specifically, you will be responsible for driving performance and maximising value by delivering pragmatic insights and analysis of key financial data and providing strategic and commercial advice. Leading a small finance team this role will have primary day-to-day responsibility for all financial and management reporting, forecasting, strategic planning and analysis, project costing and key business improvement initiatives.

About You:

CA-Qualified with proven commercial sector experience operating at a senior level, ideally within a large-scale business environment. Related industry knowledge within agribusiness, manufacturing and/or production is advantageous, however having the commercial mindset and business acumen is of most importance, rather than just strong technical skills. Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills are essential, as is relevant expertise given you will be establishing strong working relationships internally across the business including sales and engineering as well as externally with suppliers, customers and contractors.

In return you'll get to work with a long standing and well respected local employer in a role that is offering greater responsibility and opportunity long term. A role that will provide excitement and challenge in a highly supportive environment, and one that you can really take ownership of.

To Apply:

All applications and enquires are treated with the strictest of confidence. Apply via the appropriate link or for more details and a copy of the Job Description contact Peter Clark on [email protected] or call 021 278 8653.

This role is being managed exclusively by Fluid Recruitment on behalf of REL Group. All 3rd party applications or enquires will be directed through to Fluid as part of the recruitment process.
