About the Role Reporting to the Applications Platforms Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the development, design, and maintenance of the solutions. The landscape of the organisation means that they have multiple complex systems including record management and marketing systems, finance, asset management, and a CRM. This role will also provide exposure to DevOps practice expertise, the setting up of systems, and will be building on the existing delivery projects. This will require you to work across both Windows and Linux and support with the management of some mobile applications. Key Responsibilities Drive automation across Application Services, including automation scripts and processes for continuous build, integration, packaging, deployment, configuration management and monitoring. Work collaboratively in project teams with Solution Architects, Designers, Technical Specialists, Developers and operations staff to define and deliver changes. Identify, assess and analyse technical risks, issues and defects and lead the resolution and implementation of fixes within the project. Skills and Experience Hands-on experience working with Container technologies including OpenShift, Kubernetes or Docker. Experience working on an automation platform, preferably Ansible. Knowledge of continuous integration patterns, automation technologies, configuration management, quality assurance and testing methods. Experience working with Windows and Linux. Experience and knowledge of scripting languages, and developing scripts. Knowledge and experience working with Git / GitLab / GitLab CI.
