We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a people focused Insurance Representative Team Lead to be part of our collaborative Internal Distribution team and leadership group.

You will lead, mentor and support a team of motivated Insurance Representatives to ensure a high standard of service is delivered to our prospect and existing customers. You will also ensure all tasks, processes, administration and reporting for the team are completed accurately and on time in accordance with our business requirements.

You will collaborate and work closely with the wider Internal Distribution leadership group, providing reporting, identifying trends, and presenting ideas, and so contributing to the growth of our distribution team and Partners Life.

Reporting to General Manager Internal Distribution, you will:

Lead and manage direct reports to ensure all tasks and requests are completed accurately and in a timely manner, and Referral SLAs are met.
When required, participate in the daily duties of the team to ensure relevant SLAs are met and all tasks are completed in appropriate timeframes.
Identify opportunities for improvement to enhance operation efficiency and customer experience.
Identify training needs and provide training and on‐going support for team members.
Contribute towards strategic and executional planning to improve the service proposition provided to the existing customer portfolio.
Work closely with the General Manager Internal Distribution and other IDT team leaders presenting reports, identifying trends, and providing feedback.
About you

You are a people focused leader who have prior experience leading and managing small to medium sized teams within the Insurance industry or financial services.

You are passionate about supporting your team, driving excellent customer services and operational efficiency, which motivates you to proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement.

Additional attributes that may help you succeed in this role

Demonstrated leadership experience in the financial services sector
NZ Level 5 Insurance accreditation (preferred but not essential)
Solid knowledge of risk management, compliance, and privacy principles in highly regulated financial environments
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access); working knowledge of Sonata, MPL, and Share Point is an advantage
