Graymont is seeking a dedicated Plant Manager for our Otorohanga, Te Kuiti and Oparure facilities in the Waikato region of North Island, New Zealand, The Plant Manager plays a crucial role in enabling the delivery of high-quality lime and limestone products while fostering a safe and positive workplace culture!
Key Focus Areas the Role Will Include:
Lead safe, effective, and cost-efficient site operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance value creation.
Oversee all aspects of safety, production, mining, quality assurance, maintenance, and community engagement.
Develop and mentor your team to build capability and engagement.
Cultivate strong relationships with employees, customers, contractors, and the community.
Coordinate risk management activities to safeguard our operations.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure reliable and consistent operations.
Ensure compliance with legislation and company policies.
Manage operational budgets to maximize efficiency and achieve required Operating Expenditure (Op Ex).
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications:
Required Credentials:
Proven leadership in mining or manufacturing operations.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical disciplines and develop a continuous improvement culture.
Advanced people development skills with measurable team engagement and skill results.
Desirable Credentials:
Experience in Lime, Cement or Thermal processing industries
Mine manager’s certification/ticket.
Relevant tertiary qualifications (business, leadership or similar).
Experience in effective change management and in-depth financial analysis.
