We are seeking a confident and experienced leader to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for our thriving gaming studio. As the CEO, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of our studio, driving strategic initiatives, and overseeing all aspects of our business operations.
What you’ll do in this role:
Develop and lead the studio’s vision, mission, and strategy in collaboration with the founders and the department heads, communicate it clearly and hold the studio accountable to that strategy.
Work with the department heads and production team to identify the studio’s upcoming challenges, and build and develop the team needed to face them.
Provide leadership to the studio, particularly the department heads.
Clarify role responsibilities and help everyone understand how their roles contribute to the studio’s vision and goals.
Keep the organisation focused on the business goals and operating in a way that reflects the studio pillars.
Represent the studio externally, from partner and stakeholder relationships through to media interviews.
Provide guidance, support, and feedback for our department heads.
Work alongside the CFO to oversee the financial health of the studio, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and ensuring profitability while managing costs effectively.
Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including partnerships and collaborations to ensure the long term success of the studio.
Ensure that the studio operates in compliance with relevant industry regulations, legal requirements, and ethical standards, mitigating legal and reputational risks.

These responsibilities encompass a range of areas, reflecting the diverse and multifaceted role that a CEO plays in the success of our studio. Adjustments to these responsibilities may be needed based on the specific needs and focus areas of the studio.
The skills and experience we're looking for:
Proven experience as a CEO, Studio Director, or a similar senior leadership role.
Years of experience in the games industry or a similar technical and creative discipline.
Genuine, grounded and honest communication style.
Strong and confident decision-making processes, factoring in risks, innovation and financial responsibility.
Ability to empower others to have autonomy and creativity to do things their own way within their roles.

Your skills may also include:
Experience with the legal, financial or operational aspects of running a mid-size company.
Implementation of successful change management strategies.

About us:
At Dinosaur Polo Club we value a healthy work-life balance where our dinos can flourish both inside and outside of the studio. We have a creative team, opportunities for growth, and a wholesome, supportive studio environment.
We value diversity and believe that our team should be as varied and wonderful as the people who play our games all around the world. Differences such as disabilities, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity and any other aspects of various cultures and identities are important perspectives that contribute to an inclusive, well-rounded, and engaging work environment. We know we’re creating better games when we have varied perspectives and experiences contributing to them. Women, LGBTQ+ community, Māori and Pasifika – we want to hear from you!
