Finance and Administration Manager at NZ Defence Force, Wellington - Wairarapa Mo te tunga | About the role NZDF's land based logistics business covers all Army camps nationwide (Trentham, Linton, Waiouru, Burnham and Papakura).

Some of these logistics services are provided by Lockheed Martin NZ along with other national and international manufacturers and suppliers.

Currently we have two Cost Centres financially supporting this arrangement with a budget in the order of $33 M per annum.

The key responsibilities of this role will see you: Lead the day to day financial management,coordination and monitoring of all aspects of the financial outputs relating to the LDG Cost Centres.

Prepare, build and maintain the annual LDG Cost Centre budget.

Validate and reconcile monthly invoices against the annual budget.

Maintain financial records and conduct analysis of Cost Centre expenditure.

Complete relevant administration tasks.

Build and maintain positive, sustainable working relationships with Lockheed Martin NZ and key stakeholders within NZDF.

This role is based in Trentham.

Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, flexible working options can be discussed.

Along with a comprehensive background in finance, you will demonstrate: Proven expertise in maintaining a large budget/s and managing expenditure within a complex working environment.

Experience in preparing accounts/invoices for payment.

A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Pro-active and effective time management, capable of working effectively under pressure.

A high level of stakeholder relationship and communication skills.

People/ Team leadership experience.

Excellent conceptual thinking, problem solving, decision-making and implementation skills.

Proficient working knowledge of SAP Finance, Excel and relevant analytical tools.

Defence Logistics Command (Land) is responsible for all Land logistics and is accountable for delivering effective and efficient through life logistics support.

This includes end to end policy, plans, assurance, engineering, maintenance, supply chain and the through life management of equipment.

The Logistics Delivery Group (LDG) has overall responsibility for managing the contractor provided logistic support services included but not limited to maintenance, engineering and warehousing services for all Land centric equipment operated throughout the NZDF.
