This coupled with our fantastic company culture means we are growing rapidly and are now looking for another sales superstar to help take Digital Island through the next phase of our growth story.
The Role
Due to ongoing growth, an additional Channel Business Development Manager position has been opened, for the right person to support the growth of the business through our indirect sales channel in Wellington. The role focuses on nurturing and growing our footprint within the Spark Business Group as well as the Spark client base through our innovative cloud-based Contact Centre and Unified Communications solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with a ‘hunter’ mentality, who enjoys generating new opportunities and relationships, but who is also skilled at building and maintaining long-term relationships within our sales channel. We offer a collaborative and supportive culture, whilst providing the opportunity to work autonomously to drive change and improvements within the business.
The successful candidate brings experience in cloud and/or contact centre, the ability to drive growth through strategic planning; building close relationships with the channel sales teams and engaging directly with our customers up to and including C-Suite and Executives.
About You
Five years of experience in cloud, ICT or software sales in Enterprise and Public Sector
Previous experience in channel management of Cloud / SaaS / Cloud Communications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional at building a trusted advisor relationship with C-Level stakeholders/customers
Comfortable engaging with multiple client stakeholders, including CXO, CDO, CIO, Contact Centre Managers and IT Operations - to understand organisational strategy to develop solutions that are both meaningful and impactful for our clients
Have a strong business and technical understanding of cloud solutions and the outcomes these can deliver
Can build trust and inspire confidence with our sales channel - providing value through your solutions and technical expertise
Enjoys working at a pace and are a self-starter
Proven experience and existing relationships with large Government and Enterprise clients within Wellington would be a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
Meeting and exceeding monthly revenue targets, including accurately managing and forecasting sales pipeline
Proactively create, grow, and close new sales opportunities
Presenting the appropriate Cloud solutions to customers
Facilitating roadmap conversations that align with business strategies
Actively participate as an advocate for customer requirements regarding Customer Experience and Cloud Contact Centre
Utilise a consultative selling approach and facilitate solutions that meet the customer’s requirements
Facilitate the creation of Sales Documentation to deliver on customer requirements
Work closely with our consulting and delivery teams to provide an exceptional customer experience
Keep well informed of market and technology developments, including our own suite of solutions and services
Maintaining a positive and healthy attitude that contributes to the team and organisational growth
A good standard of computer literacy including a working knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft 365 suite of tools.
