We are seeking a dedicated Security Information, Risk, & Advisory Services (SIRAS) Manager to join our Security Group. This pivotal role is essential for ensuring the safety and security of Parliament members, staff, and visitors.

About the role:
The primary objective of this exciting position is to lead the SIRAS Team, providing expert security advice and services to members attending events outside the Parliamentary Precinct.
Leading and contributing to the implementation of Parliamentary Security initiatives and operational business plans.
Supporting the Chief Security Officer in shaping strategic direction and risk management initiatives.
Collaborating with the Security Leadership Group to define outcomes for Parliament’s leadership during rolling three-year terms.
Maintaining stakeholder relationships and ensuring effective resource allocation to meet Security Group objectives.
Delivering high-quality intelligence, threat assessments, and training to enhance members' personal security and public event safety.
Building the capability of direct reports and inspiring them to perform at an elevated level, fostering engagement and discretionary effort.

What you will bring to the role:
Must obtain and maintain
TOP SECRET
National Security Clearance (NSC).
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Experience in analysing and use of intelligence to mitigate threats and risks.
Demonstrated understanding of legislation and the provision of security advice.
Familiarity with the Protective Security Requirements (PSR).
Proficiency in budget and financial management.
Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on building trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
A commitment to high integrity, cultural empathy, and fostering an inclusive environment.

The starting salary range for this role is $119,351 per annum. Appointments will be based on skills and experience (please note, the full salary range extends beyond this to allow for tenure progression).
