Reporting to the Head of Operational Risk, in Second Line, you will be a trusted Partner and subject matter expert, providing independent review, challenge and advice to the business, facilitating a strong, embedded risk culture that optimises risk/reward decision making and supports the delivery of strategic objectives. You will play a key role in delivering high quality and timely Second Line enterprise-wide oversight and monitoring of Kiwibank’s operational risks. You will build and maintain strong partnerships with your business areas, acting as a conduit between Risk and the Business. You will provide pragmatic, insightful and timely risk advice and will support and assist the business to build and develop their risk capability and to take ownership of their risks, incorporating risk management practices into their day-to-day activities/processes. At Kiwibank, we will help you build on your strengths and learn new skills, but in the meantime, we would love to hear from you if you have the following:5+ years’ experience in operational risk management within banking/financial industry, preferably in a Second Line Risk role. Experience of producing, maintaining and implementing Operational risk policies and supporting documentation. Experience in leading risk uplift initiatives would be advantageous. A team player who challenges the status quo, contributes innovative ideas, and maintains a process improvement and simplification mindset. Demonstrable ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, lead, and influence decisions and actions of others, including internal business partners, external stakeholders, and senior management. Proven experience in managing multiple deliverables and conflicting priorities. The ability to deal with ambiguity, work autonomously, and operate in an evolving environment.
