Join us on the journey Our Estate Management of Services (EOM) team is looking for a highly organisedEMOS Operations Managerto join their team to assist the Regional EMOS Operations Manager in supporting Downer Defence Contract for the delivery of EMO contract to the Department of Defence Rockhampton and SWBTA, QLD regions. In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities, you can also expect to be involved in the advancement of our Defence & Critical Infrastructure function from innovating processes, to assisting on a variety of internal projects. What you'll do The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below: Assist in achieving delivery, operation and protection of Defence capability, maintenance of Defence assets, safe use of Defence, Land, facilities and equipment, protection of environment and heritage and the Protection of Defence's reputation. Manage stakeholder engagement for environmental outcomes/deliverables including but not limited to planned fire mitigation burns, fire trail maintenance, flora and fauna management programs. Engage with Indigenous Liaisons Officer to adhere to ILUA and support Defence engagement programs where required. Provide a high standard of service to the ADF which is monitored by Defence Security and Estate Group to ensure we maintain these standards. Delivery of accurate information to all stakeholders not limited to EMOS Operations, within Downer Defence in a professional and timely fashion and establishing a trusted relationship with internal clients. What you'll bring Tertiary qualifications in a related field such as Management, Business or Commerce desired but not essential. Proven track record in managing large, complex service delivery contract. Ability to engage with international forces to deliver contracted, strategic and political outcomes. Camp Management experience to support surge of multiple camps including a 2500 man camp with waste and water treatment plants, commercial kitchen and High Voltage network. Logistic experience to manage remote operations including but not limited to potable delivery, support of Defence asset movements. Ability to obtain and retain a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory). Significant experience in operations management including strong budget management. Experience in contract management and development. Facilities Maintenance or Environmental background would be advantageous.
