Sound Care Group is looking for a General Manager (GM) to oversee its five aged care facilities in the following locations: Cambridge, Hamilton, Katikati, Eltham and Dunedin.The GM reports directly to the Owner and Director, works closely with the rest of the Senior Management Team, and leads the managers of each facility. Key responsibilities (are, but not limited to, the following):1) Work with the leadership team to provide strategic direction to the Group, and oversee implementation of plans and programmes2) Ensure governance and delivery of quality care consistent with Group standards, mission/ vision and service philosophy3) Drive the Group's Culture of Care, building and maintaining a work environment that attracts, develops and retains talent4) Maintain business viability and long-term sustainability5) Develop, review, update, disseminate and implement Group-wide systems, policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all aspects of the service contract held between the Ministry and the Group, and other legislative, contractual and regulatory requirements About the Right Candidate To be successful in the role, you shall have:1) At least eight years experience in a clinical environment, four of which in a management position either as a facility manager or clinical manager in an aged care facility2) Experience in leading a team towards the attainment of the highest level of certification for a health care facility in New Zealand – with indepth understanding of Nga Paerewa Health and Disability Standards3) Preferably a postgraduate degree in health care leadership or similar qualification4) Willingness and flexibility for frequent travel to all sites of the Group5) A high level of physical and mental fitness and the commitment to maintain this6) A full NZ driver's license About the Group Sound Care Group is a growing network of five aged care homes in New Zealand committed to delivering holistic nursing care to our residents.
