About you

You are a capable and motivated leader, dedicated to delivering consistently high results for the efficient and economical operation of the Infrastructure and Facilities Management (FM) MMS Groups Contracts & Projects. You demonstrate exceptional moral values in everything you do and possess strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills. You have outstanding business acumen and are highly competent in managing projects and contracts successfully whose a dynamic and driven individual with a strong focus on systems, processes and people management to support the growth. 

About the role

Located in Auckland and reporting to the Managing Directors, you will manage the provision of a safe, cost effective service that meets the standards specified in FM service contracts and projects across multiple transport, government, and commercial contracts. You will meet agreed budgets and business planning outcomes, take responsibility for the success of daily operations, provide strategic direction on service deliverables, and manage the NSW operations. 

This role has the opportunity to grow into the executive team as the New Zealand business is targeting growth.

You will proactively participate in the continuous development of the business units and the decision-making process, whilst providing advice to the senior management team on developments and changes within the services which impacts could be in involved.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour;
Associate Diploma, Tertiary Qualifications or relevant leadership experience in maintenance management, facilities management or business management; 
Trade Qualification or Certificate (Certificate IV) in trades or other relevant trade associated disciplines;
Establish the marketing plans, key client strategies, and sales forecasts, and undertake market share analysis to ensure achievement of budgeted profit targets;
Minimum 8 years’ experience in contract management practices including best practice commercial/risk policies and procedures, project management, claims management, reporting and dispute resolution;
Understand the importance of the legal obligations of the business, and ensure – Safety first, Always;
Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business.
Demonstrated leadership and the ability to work with a diverse workforce;
Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with Stakeholders;
Demonstrated experience in maintenance management, contractual engagement of contractors and development of scopes and works packages;
Sound background in management with proven planning, leadership and scheduling skills;
Maintain regular contact with key clients, suppliers, industry & government representatives and other internal stakeholders;
Demonstrable experience in estimation of new works to support new bid opportunities;
Proven financial management expertise, especially the ability to control and meet budget objectives;
High level consultation, communication, marketing and negotiation skills;
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple priorities; 
Good relationship management skills and ability;
Strong oral and written communication skills;
Ownership, commitment and an ability to meet deadlines
