An opportunity exists for a full time Specialist General Surgeon to join the General Surgery team at Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty. This position is based at Whakatāne Hospital with a commitment to supporting services across the Bay of Plenty. We are looking for a specialist who would like an opportunity to work with the team, as a generalist and within their subspecialty (e.g., Breast, Colorectal), while also providing acute and planned care services, teaching, mentoring junior teams, as well as undertaking administrative responsibilities. This position includes participating equally in the after-hours roster.
