Radius Matua in Tauranga is a modern rest home, hospital and dementia care facility providing ‘round the clock care for those who can no longer manage safely on their own. We put the diverse care needs of our residents first, and our trained staff provide individualised care that allows all of our residents to live with dignity and as independently as possible.
We foster an animal-friendly culture. When walking through the main reception, be prepared for an encounter with the ruler of Radius Matua—Jess, our friendly office dog. We have a large fish tank, an aviary full of different birds, a number of cats, and even three turtles in their special pond enclosure. Alongside the “Matua Menagerie” that regularly visit our facility, our residents also enjoy regular visits from various canine friends, courtesy of the local SPCA. Here at Radius Matua we love an excuse to celebrate, and our New Year’s Eve party is a highlight of every year.
