Clinical Lead Pūmotomoto (The first 2000 days)

Be a part of an ever-expanding service delivering support and programmes for parents, caregivers, whānau, and tamariki. We are passionate about providing a service that enhances the mana of whānau through whakapapa korero (learning pathways) and the sharing of taonga tuku iho (gifts handed down through whānau).
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse who wants to play an important and impactful role in supporting whānau and pēpi in the First 2000 days of their lives.
The key purpose of this role is to provide clinical oversight to the team, as well as provide clinical support to whānau actively engaged with the Pūmotomoto service, both in 1-1 and group settings. You will be leading the clinical aspects of the Pūmotomoto, supporting whānau to increase their overall wellbeing and empowering them to make positive changes to achieve their goals for a healthier life. The role as Clinical Lead (Kaihaumanu) guides the team, as well as working with tangata whaiora, whānau and making a positive change in their lives.

Build trusting relationships with whānau
Be confident in leading clinical group work and therapeutic programmes
Provide clinical leadership and oversight to Pūmotomoto team
Actively participate in programme development and delivery
Work with whānau and tamariki of all ethnicities, with high levels of professionalism
Be personable and culturally responsive
Use your nursing knowledge and complex nursing judgement to assess health needs and provide care, and to advise and support whānau to manage their health
Work both independently and collaboratively with other health professionals across the service, including kaitautoko and clinicians
Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures as they relate to the provision of Te Oriori and Pūmotomoto services
Minimum Requirements:
Registered Nurse with 5+ years experience working in New Zealand (preferable)
Hold a current practicing certificate
Public Health education knowledge and skills
Experience and passion working with whānau and pēpi (child health)
