At Absolute Immigration Legal, no two days are the same. This is your opportunity to work in one of the most complex areas of law whilst changing lives every day. We aren't your typical law firm. We don't ask our Lawyers to bill in 6 minute increments or keep timesheets (what a time consuming task!). Each case the client is charged a fixed fee, freeing up our Lawyers to focus on providing our clients exceptional client service. Provide accurate, relevant advice and assistance to clients with respect to visa options and eligibility. Preparing and lodging various type of visa applications, including family visas, working visas, Administrative Review Tribunal and Federal Court appeals. Representing clients in visa-related interviews and appeals. Be responsible for managing your own caseload with the support of a Paralegal. Create and maintain client relationships. Staying up-to-date with changes in immigration legislation and regulations. Providing guidance on the complex and ever-evolving immigration landscape. About You The key skills and behaviours that make a truly great Immigration Lawyer, and what we are looking for are: A passion for helping people and changing lives. Values that align with ours (check out our website!). A law degree and admittance to practice within Victoria with a minimum of 3 years PQE. Prior experience (at least 3 years) as an Immigration Lawyer with ART and Federal Court experience, ideally working with Employer Sponsored Visas. Experience with ART cases and Federal Circuit Court is essential. Technical knowledge with respect to current Australian immigration law and policy. A high level of attention to detail and ability to manage conflicting deadlines. Experience managing a large caseload with a number of deadlines.
