The Midwife Specialist role is based in the MICS team and work in partnership with key stakeholders to enhance optimum use of the application within the organisation. About the Role The Clinical Midwife Specialist (MCIS) is a senior midwifery role responsible for providing comprehensive specialist expertise and clinical leadership to the health professionals using the National Maternity Information System (MCIS – Badger Net) within Te Toka Tumai’s Maternity Services.
Your main duties include: Provide support to end users from a clinical lens Work with other MCIS team members to support BAU activities, such as software releases and updates Manage training and communication materials Collaborate with clinical leaders and managers to contribute to change and quality improvement initiatives Facilitating a close working relationship between clinical, operational and technical staff through face to face discussions, meetings, workshop facilitation and written communication.
This is a permanent part-time position working 40 hours per fortnight, ideally covering Mondays and Fridays.
Additionally, you will be rostered on call duties to provide out of hours remote support.
However, the working days and hours are negotiable for the right candidate.
