Neptune Pacific Direct Line (NPDL) is the leading shipping company connecting the west coast USA, Asia, Australia and NZ to the Pacific. We are experiencing a period of significant growth, building capacity and capability across our network. We operate 11 containerships, moving +240k TEU across various ports in 16 countries, in partnership with CMA, PIL and Swire. NPDL is part of The Wonderful Company headquartered in the USA (including Fiji Water).
Job Description

You will be responsible for providing procurement process support, including ensuring supplier contracts and rates are properly maintained, that supplier invoices are accurately processed and paid on-time, managing disputes, claims, credits and regular spend reporting / KPIs. This role will work across NPDL operations, assisting the various NPDL teams with identifying the most cost-effective options.

This role is 12-month fixed term role based in either Parnell or our Richard Pearce Drive (Airport) office. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and thrive in a dynamic team environment. You will take full ownership of the USA, Australia and NZ invoice processing, as well as other geographies if required. If you are into streamlining processes, then we are happy for you to make this your baby and implement ways to improve our checking processes.
The reason for this fixed term role is to backfill the current incumbent, who has been seconded to a global project with focus on improving our existing procurement processes and systems.

Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:
At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Very strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of MS Excel.
Strong interpersonal skills to work well with cross-functional teams.
Hands-on/roll-up-your-sleeves approach, working with the team to produce high quality work.
Be driven to achieve all set goals and deadlines.
Have a passion for change that enhances current processes and drives efficiency.
Demonstrate the willingness and ability to learn and take on new challenges.
You will have exceptional attention to detail, an ability to handle a high-volume of requests, strong process focus and don’t mind some repetition in a role – after all you will be spending a lot of time checking invoices and spend reporting. To top it all off, of course you must have outstanding written and verbal communication.
