Installation Engineer - Industrial/Chemical Pipefitter Location: West Auckland Salary: Competitive $$$ Plus Vehicle, laptop & phone Opportunity: Join a market leader Our client is seeking an experienced Installation Engineer, with experience in chemical processing/water treatment industries to join their growing team in West Auckland. You will work alongside the Project Manager to ensure all installs run smoothly and on time. Key Duties include: The installation of chemical dosing equipment and PVC pipework for projects across New Zealand. Carrying out mechanical repairs both onsite and in the workshop for chemical dosing and disinfection equipment. The assembly of chemical dosing skids and instrument boards in the workshop. Providing support to the service team as needed for maintaining and servicing chemical dosing equipment. What we are looking for: A relevant trade qualification and the ability to demonstrate excellent mechanical and problem-solving skills. Previous experience installing PVC pipework and a strong working knowledge of pumps.4+ years’ work experience in water treatment or similar industries would be preferred but not essential. Experience with Stainless TIG welding; a formal welding qualification is preferred. A strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Solid time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines. A team player who is able to build strong working relationships at all levels, whilst also being capable of working autonomously.
