Litigation Solicitor – Wellington

We have a great opportunity for a litigation solicitor to join our team in Wellington.

The Wellington team works across public and commercial disputes – specialising in complex, high‐stakes and often unusual matters. The team is led by two energetic, supportive partners with broad experience in New Zealand and internationally, giving it a wide and interesting breadth of work across contractual disputes, constitutional issues and law reform, tort claims, judicial review, climate change and environmental litigation, High Court and appellate advocacy, mediation, arbitration, risk management and strategic advice.

The Wellington team forms part of our Litigation National Practice Group and works closely with other parts of the firm. In this role, you will work for a firm that takes a modern, commercial and collaborative approach to dispute resolution and sticky situations.

Handle complex legal issues across public and commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, constitutional matters, law reform, tort claims, judicial review, climate change, environmental litigation, and High Court and appellate advocacy. Provide mediation, arbitration, risk management, and strategic advice. Work collaboratively within a modern, commercial dispute resolution team.
Qualifications
New Zealand‐qualified solicitor with 2–6 years of PQE. Strong academic results. Experience in a large commercial firm, a public sector legal team, or a specialist litigation practice. Enjoys complex legal issues, is commercially minded, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
