Job Duties
The successful candidate will support the Director of Nuclear Engineering Consulting, Project Manager, and Materials Engineering Laboratory Manager, acting as the project lead for both mid-sized and small projects. The candidate must be a self-starter and decisive, with the ability to define project goals, chart a success path, and proactively address problems with solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Project management experience on projects with 5 or fewer engineers
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- MS or MBA is a plus
- PE License
- Experience as a Stress Analyst familiar with Finite Element Analysis
- Experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel code, Pressure Vessels, and Piping
- Direct utility experience with BWR and PWR systems
- Ability to travel and provide site support, including walkdowns
- Excellent communication skills for working with team members and clients
- Personable, suitable for a small office environment
- Experience with failure analysis of systems, structures, and components, including metallurgical methods, is a plus
- Strong technical and report writing skills
