Ko te kaupapa | About the role Whanganui physiotherapy department is a dynamic team consisting of inpatient, outpatient and community physiotherapists and allied health assistants working across a range of specialities and services including acute medical, surgical and neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal and community outpatients.

We strive for inter-disciplinary care, working closely with our MDT colleagues to ensure streamlined patient/whānau-centred care.

This is a great opportunity for a senior physiotherapist to lead operational management of our physiotherapy team and professional practice of physiotherapy staff across the organisation.

You will represent, empower and facilitate development of physiotherapists within the organisation across all service delivery groups.

This role will report to the Associate Director of Allied Health Scientific and Technical (ADAHST) in the Primary and Community services team.

Ko koe tēnei | About you Our ideal candidate will have: Essential: Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and current APC.

A minimum of 5 years' physiotherapy experience.

Demonstrated ability to lead and influence both within and outside your profession.

Excellent communication skills.

Passionate and dynamic advocate for the physiotherapy profession.

Working knowledge of operational management procedures.

Commitment to the Te Tiriti o Waitangi/Treaty of Waitangi and Whānau Ora principles.

Highly Desirable: Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma or other relevant post graduate qualification.

Networks locally, regionally or nationally.
