Job Description:

Senior Litigation Solicitor, Belfast, Suit 7 years + PQE, Up to £65k. Our client is a national law firm based in Belfast City Centre, with an excellent reputation. They are seeking an experienced Solicitor for their Personal Injury team. The role involves working on large loss claims, assisting with complex High Court cases, casualty and motor claims, including catastrophic injury cases. You will manage your own caseload of claims valued between £100k-£250k, with experience in indemnity, liability, and complex medical issues preferred. Attention to detail and supervision are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing a caseload of complex injury claims, including high-value multi-track and catastrophic injuries.
2. Communicating with insurer clients, handling queries, and providing updates.
3. Analyzing quantum evidence, preparing chronologies, and identifying anomalies.
4. Using medical knowledge to instruct experts and identify relevant issues.
5. Drafting technical advice on claim handling, indemnity, liability, quantum, and causation.
6. Proactively identifying next steps and discussing strategies with the Lead Lawyer.
7. Interviewing witnesses, drafting statements, and liaising with involved parties.
8. Drafting pleadings, instructing counsel, and attending conferences and court proceedings.
9. Meeting performance targets and maintaining case management systems.
10. Ensuring compliance with LSNI regulations.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

• Qualified solicitor or relevant legal experience.
• Experience in indemnity, liability, and quantum.
• Experience with complex medical issues is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and work under pressure.
• Proficient in IT (Word, Excel, Office).
