    About the Role

    The role of the Principal Practice Consultant is to lead client-centric practice for Family Works, Presbyterian Support Central clients in partnership with staff, developing and implementing appropriate standards, monitoring processes, quality systems and professional development that ensures Family Works clients’ needs are met. To ensure that all services offered by Family Works are reflective of best practice and are fully compliant with legal and contractual obligations. 

    This role will support the committed and established teams across the region - providing supervision and practice development. 

    It requires an enthusiastic professional committed to providing quality services in the Wellington community. Strong links and knowledge of this community is essential. You need to hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Counselling, therapy or Social Work and have experience of delivering services to vulnerable families and their children. 

    You will also work closely with the Service Manager to develop and progress our exciting and diverse range of contracts and services in the Wellington community.

    Key tasks:

  • Oversee and develop quality improvement systems that can be embedded and demonstrate loop closure within Family Works. 
  • Facilitates practices that support Family Works to maintain good external audit results, with minimal findings and demonstrable continuous improvements. 
  • Ensures systems are in place to monitor compliance with sector accreditation standards, Legislation and Contracts.
  • Manages and investigates serious and sentinel events and incidents.
  • Manages escalated complaints and ensures the complaint policy is adhered to.

    You will possess a social services qualification along with NGO social services experience. You will have worked with quality assurance processes and have proven abilities of being an enabler to support practice development.
