This role ensures the sustained technical mastery and leadership in manufacturing by managing a key business line, focusing on delivering results aligned with the site's needs. You will develop others to maintain technical expertise and use strategic thinking to achieve long-term results.

How you will contribute

In your first managerial role, you will ensure safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and morale targets are met by setting clear objectives and developing budgets, managing costs, governance, compliance, loss elimination, and workforce planning, including recruitment, retention, development, succession planning, and identifying high-potential team members. Your leadership is crucial for delivering high-quality snacks to our customers.

What you will bring

A desire to advance your career with experience and knowledge in:

  • Autonomous maintenance (AM) Step 4 and progressive maintenance (PM) Step 3 systems
  • Maintaining equipment independently, executing AM & PM standards
  • Total productive maintenance and Six Sigma, including qualification in AM steps 5-6 and PM step 3
  • Leading line teams
  • Handling interpersonal situations tactfully
  • Influencing in union environments
  • Effective verbal and written communication with attention to detail

Education: Vocational Technical Degree or Bachelor’s Degree

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of operational experience
  • 3 to 5 years of leadership experience
  • 3 to 5 years of continuous improvement experience

The Line Manager is responsible for overall line performance 24/7, ensuring high-quality, on-time production at the required cost, managing labor efficiencies, product trials, schedule changes, and employee compliance with GMPs and safety regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale targets are met
  • Manage staffing, training, and employee cycle events
  • Lead safety initiatives and conduct safety walks and incident reports
  • Review and address root causes of issues, ensuring corrective actions
  • Deliver improvement projects and ensure proper employee training
  • Maintain good employee relations and coach team members
  • Ensure equipment and processes follow standards and support AM activities
  • Participate in IL6 S work processes and AM pillar activities
  • Manage maintenance planning, changeovers, and trials
  • Investigate problems, implement corrective actions, and monitor performance
  • Manage labor costs and labor standards
  • Prepare and communicate KPIs and reports
