Te Whiwhinga mahi - The Opportunity -Infrastructure Specification Lead - Major Projects- FIXED TERM ROLE to July 2026

This FIXED TERM role is responsible for providing subject matter expertise to the design and build of major public transport infrastructure projects in Auckland, being involved in the project planning, development and delivery phases of projects.

Key tasks will include:
Specifying infrastructure to meet expected levels of customer service for the infrastructure being delivered Specifying Infrastructure that is fit for purpose for customers and public transport operators Public transport Infrastructure is optimised in relation to the capital investment to achieve the project objectives including patronage and customer satisfaction targets To act as a key point of contact between the Auckland Transport Infrastructure Specifications team and other Auckland Transport / Auckland Council departments on Major Public Transport projects. Be the subject matter expert (SME) on PT infrastructure requirements along with the ability to influence decisions. Develop procedures required to improve performance issues, strategic requirements and safety

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring? Preferred minimum of 7 years' experience in transport operations management, facility design, asset management/maintenance Relevant Tertiary Qualification in a technical or engineering discipline Preferred project and program management qualification. Risk assessment experience Experience in major project, program management and operational requirements of public transport to ensure that the specifications of public transport infrastructure facilities are practical and realistic
