There are a few roles that we are needing help with; there is something to suit everyone.
Available Positions:
Flag Person:
Have you ever wanted to be the one to wave that flag to start a race? This season we are looking for another person to join the team in being our flag person - could this be you?
Commentator:
We have our awesome commentator Daniel, but he is looking for an off sider who can help with commentating on the night - no experience needed, as full training will be given.
Lap Scorer:
This job requires someone to help write down peoples race numbers in order as they cross the finish line for each lap.
Infield Staff:
Have you ever wanted to be on the infield of a race track? We have positions available in our tow trucks, or as a hook up passenger where you will assist getting the vehicles off the track.
Pit Marshall:
This position helps keep the flow going on race night, calling up the vehicles to pit lane ready to go out onto the track.
Junior Members:
Do you love kids? We are bringing back our Junior Member club which will run from our refurbished shop out in the crowd area. This position will be selling merchandise from the shop and helping Kelly with Junior Members.
Office Staff:
Enter competitors in the points spreadsheet.
Give out radios and volunteer equipment.
Receive lap scoring results after each race and check them to make sure manual and ELS are the same.
Put a copy on the results board.
Enter race results in spreadsheet.
Notify reps of any ties on points.
Query any variances in results with officials.
Get radios and equipment back into correct place when volunteers return them.
These roles are for Friday, Saturday, and 1 x Sunday race.
All our volunteers receive free entry into the track.
Requirements:
We would appreciate you being able to help with any of the meeting/race dates.
Time Commitment:
Sunday races start at 2pm, Friday races start at 7pm. A normal race night is usually from about 4pm to 10pm. We normally require you for 6-hour blocks.
