About the Job We are on the lookout for a dynamic Quality Assurance Specialist to join our passionate Quality team in Auckland.
You will join a QA team of 3 reporting to the Quality Assurance in-Process Manager - part of the wider Quality and Food Safety team, located at our Auckland production facility.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity working Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm, contributing to the company's goals through promoting Quality & Food Safety within Danone.
Maintain an effective QA programme based on PRPs and HACCP principles.
Develop, implement, and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) to be followed within the manufacturing process to ensure the required quality and food safety of the finished products.
Flexibility to be on-call every 5 weeks is expected in this role.
This role might require working shifts to support our 24/5 operations from time to time.
You will: Drive effective Incident Management - carry out investigation & risk assessment on RM / PM / FG with effective RCA & CAPA, in consultation with QA Manager, Plant Manager, QFS Manager.
Manage in-process inspection of processes, procedures, premises, people, and product/materials.
Ensure plant compliance to GMP, HACCP & regulatory standards.
Be accountable for the management of PRPs.
About you You are an energetic, proactive, confident, and process-oriented Quality professional.
Your proven quality assurance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, stakeholder engagement, collaborative working style, and excellent verbal and written communications will be advantageous in this role.
You enjoy taking ownership & responsibility and know how to act with speed, agility & pragmatism.
Ideally you will have: Proven and demonstrated experience working in a quality assurance role in the food manufacturing industry, preferably in dairy.
Strong working knowledge of GMP/GHP, HACCP, food handling or pathogen training.
Competent level in MS Excel and ability to learn new tools; exposure to Power BI is highly desirable.
The drive and resilience needed to effectively collaborate with operational teams to achieve quality of products on the shop floor.
