Alton Drilling is a Kiwi owned and operated company with over 40 years’ experience. Alton’s main drilling focus is mineral exploration in locations around New Zealand.
About the role
You will be responsible for providing support to the driller and drilling team in recovering core samples for our clients around New Zealand. You will be joining crews with a good culture of hard work, good banter and looking out for each other.
Key Duties
Assist the driller with safe operation of equipment.
Conduct daily pre-start equipment checks.
Complete necessary safety paperwork and processes.
Assist with routine maintenance.
Assist with loading and unloading heavy vehicles.
Clean drill rigs, vehicles, equipment, and tools.
Assist with setting up, dismantling, and moving rigs when needed.
Other duties as required.
Role Requirements
Strong commitment to health & safety.
Be physically fit to cope with the demands of the position.
Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving skills.
A commitment to training and development.
Clean Criminal History.
New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Resident.
Current NZ Driving Licence.
