Client is a very well established and growing NZ owned food production & distribution business with branches nationwide.
An experienced and preferably trade qualified Engineer is sought for the Auckland branch in Otahuhu.
5 years minimum process engineering experience in a food production environment, along with experience maintaining blending hoppers and packaging machines is essential.
Ensure that all machinery onsite is running at optimal levels.
Preventative maintenance is carried out on all machinery.
Train and assist staff on machinery where required.
Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, and costs.
Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
Develop new products and processes to expand the company’s product range – including enhancing existing products and developing new ones.
Assist with the research and purchase of new manufacturing machinery including travel to manufacturer where appropriate.
Investigating and troubleshooting plant/process problems.
Taking responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment (including all equipment, machines, and materials).
Notifying the Manager if at any time equipment, machines, and materials constitute risk.
Complying with all Standard Operating Procedures including the Health and Safety requirements that are incorporated.
Hours of work are 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with no weekend hours.
