Quality Management Auckland Full-time New Zealand Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for an R&D Specialist to join our Auckland manufacturing site! The R&D Specialist NZ is responsible for research and development, innovation and productivity delivery with regards to coffee and tea ingredients. Working alongside the Quality and Production teams, the R&D Specialist NZ has responsibility to support local quality processes and KPIs, particularly with regards to sensory quality. The role also supports the delivery of New Product Development and CAPEX projects, working with local and global stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. In the role you will be responsible for: Identification and delivery of cost optimization projects with regards to coffee and tea for the Auckland factory, including waste minimization, efficiency and CAPEX projects Championing quality through skilled and objective sensory evaluation of our products Supports the commercialization of NPD & Operational processes and is a conduit for the sharing of coffee knowledge to the business, including training of associates as required Supports material productivity improvements in the local Auckland factory Champion innovation, quality and sensory of products Qualifications We’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:3 years’ experience in a similar role Coffee roasting experience and blend development capability Experience in tea blend development highly desirable Experience in sensory evaluation Broad technical knowledge of food manufacturing and technologies Proven track record of Commodity procurement within a budget.
