Transport Supervisory Role
ITSS Engineering provides fabrication, welding, and machining service to a variety of industries.
Supervising a small team of engineers and apprentices for heavy vehicle and machinery repairs, your role will be to lead the workshop, managing the team to ensure work is completed in an efficient, timely, and safe manner.
You will work with our in-house heavy vehicle certifier, liaising with customers to understand the job requirements, assign and oversee the work, ensuring work meets client expectations, regulatory requirements, and deadlines.
You will also look to identify any improvements in work processes and ensure the workplace follows best practice in terms of efficiencies and health and safety.
To be considered for this role, you will:
Be a trade qualified engineer with a minimum of 5 years' industry experience.
Possess knowledge and experience of fabrication, welding, and fitting for heavy transport engineering.
Have strong communication skills to deal with staff and management.
Be health and safety focused.
Depending on applicant experience and career goals, this can be a full-time workshop-based hands-on role for an experienced Engineer or a split role with workshop/office based with training provided to become a heavy vehicle manufacture certifier.
