Roofing Industries is a New Zealand manufacturer and supplier of metal roofing and cladding products, proudly supporting roofers and builders nationwide. With 15 branches nationwide, we provide reliable supply and localised service across the country.
We’re looking for a reliable, customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our Christchurch team. This is a hands-on, full-time role delivering roofing and related products throughout the South Island while providing outstanding customer service.
About the Role
You will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering products to customer sites, ensuring loads are accurate, secure, and on time. This role also involves loading vehicles, preparing orders, and supporting factory/logistics operations as required.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver products to customer sites accurately and without damage
Plan delivery routes and sequences, including liaising with customers regarding access and site requirements
Load delivery vehicles using overhead crane, truck-mounted crane, or manually (heavy lifting involved)
Pick, make up, and label orders, ensuring correct products are selected (product training provided)
Operate vehicles in accordance with heavy motor vehicle regulations and maintain required driving records
Follow all delivery procedures and health & safety requirements
Present professionally and provide excellent customer service at all times
Keep vehicles clean, tidy, and in safe, road-legal condition
Assist with other duties as required by management
Hours of Work Full-time role – approximately 50 hours per week Monday to Friday (occasional Saturday work may be required)
Flexible daily hours between 5:00am and 7:00pm , depending on operational requirements
Requirements
A current full NZ driver licence (Class 4 preferred; Class 5/Hiab an advantage)
Experience driving heavy vehicles or delivering building materials (preferred)
Confidence using Google Maps and planning delivery routes
Good communication and time management skills
A strong focus on safety and customer service
Physical fitness for manual handling and heavy lifting
A professional and respectful manner
