ABOUT THE ROLE
The R&D Engineer at Fabrum will play a key role in our development of new products with a particular focus on composite tanks used for the storage of liquid hydrogen, including in aircraft.
You will have the opportunity to:
Develop cutting-edge solutions for world-leading projects, including the critical features for cryogenic storage vessels for use in aircraft
Help drive a continuous improvement culture with a practical, commercial focus in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate and apply technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations throughout the design and manufacturing processes
ABOUT YOU
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree (or higher studies)
Experience or exposure to composite materials or cryogenics
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Experience or exposure to aviation engineering or development, including exposure to designing against standards and/or meeting compliance requirements.
Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Solid Works
Ability to collaborate across teams and regions, and proactively interact with Project Managers, discipline engineers and designers to deliver successful outcomes.
