About the role:
The Medical Affairs Manager is responsible for translating and communicating research findings to help healthcare professionals and caregivers make informed decisions when recommending or choosing a pediatric nutritional product. This role is an integral part of DGC’s Science team to ensure that the translation and communication of the research is factual, timely, and packaged and distributed in a way that meets the needs of each specific market. This includes the development of market-specific communication strategies and materials, as well as supporting customers as they interface with healthcare professionals and consumers in their own markets.
About the duties:
Develop and implement a medical affairs strategic plan, reviewing annually for alignment with business direction and market needs.
Build a collaborative network of key opinion leaders.
Stay updated on scientific trends and share insights with stakeholders.
Create engaging medical marketing content and resources.
Update training materials for market partners and healthcare professionals.
Assist in integrated marketing campaigns.
Lead research to understand caregiver and HCP needs.
Promote research publications widely.
Monitor regulatory trends and guide product claims.
Support partners' medical marketing with research insights.
Provide advice for effective use of medical content.
Communicate new research developments to market partners.
Manage strategies for key conferences and events.
Serve as the primary contact for scientific and technical questions.
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and best practices.
Build credibility for DGC and market partners through interactions with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
About you:
Tertiary qualification in Life and Health Sciences or Nutrition, a Ph D degree is a must.
Proven publication record and expertise in human nutrition.
Strong ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships.
Ideally, an established international network within the industry.
Open and collaborative approach, comfortable in environments where ideas are shared and challenged.
Strategic and innovative thinker with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans and workflows.
Proficient in graphic design.
Excellent written and spoken English communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to convey complex ideas simply to diverse audiences.
Commitment to thoroughly learn new subject areas and environments.
At least 5 years of experience in medical affairs within the infant formula industry or a similar field.
Ability to travel internationally.
