Date Posted: May 5, 2025 Closing Date: May 30, 2025 Reports To: Control Systems Supervisor Location: New Plymouth Duration: Full-time, 5 Years Fixed Term Position Summary To train on the job and gain experience in maintenance work to complete all the requirements of a National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Level 4), and a National Certificate in Industrial Measurement and Control (Level 4); becoming a competent, qualified Control Systems Technician. Position Responsibilities Ensure the formal apprenticeship qualifications required are completed in the appropriate timeframe. Provide support in coordinating and assisting Control Systems Technicians with control systems related work. Train in other related areas of the company to provide an awareness of the work undertaken and interact with the people in these areas. Become familiar with and comply with relevant standards, codes of practice, and New Zealand legislation. Ensures that all maintenance and minor modifications to the plant are implemented in accordance with Methanex standards and best practices. Participate in daily toolbox meetings as well as monthly department meetings.
