Location: Rodney, Auckland Job type: Full time Duration: Permanent Description Silverdale Mechanical is a family-owned and operated business located in the Silverdale area. We are seeking a second or third year apprentice. We offer a well-equipped workshop and a friendly, fun environment. There is regular overtime available if desired. We are looking for someone who is: Confident in the servicing, maintaining, and repair of trucks/cars and machinery or someone with mechanical knowledge who is willing to learn and expand. A motivated team player that supports the wider team. Able to expand and maintain customer relationships. Knowledgeable in hydraulics and electrical systems would also be advantageous. The successful applicant will: Have the ability to work under pressure while having an eye for detail. Have excellent communication skills, including both verbal and written. Be able to work autonomously and mentor and support less experienced staff. Have full work rights in NZ and a current NZ driver's licence (HT will eventually be required but we are willing to assist in obtaining it). Show a willingness to contribute to health and safety. Have a stable work history. The employee will enjoy the fact that every day is different and will be working both in our workshop and out on site with a wide variety of vehicles and machinery.
