Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

We have a great opportunity for a Clinical Engineering Team Leader/Asset Technician to join our Facilities and Engineering Services who provide the technical management of buildings, plant and equipment owned by Capital and Coast District Health Board (CCDHB) and Hutt Valley District Health Board (HVDHB).

Join a friendly and supportive team, who will be responsible for performing the scheduled preventative maintenance testing of clinical equipment across CCDHB and HVDHB. This is to ensure all clinical technology and equipment within the DHB’s is to a level of performance and safety and is fit for the purpose for which it was bought. As a Team Leader you will have direct responsibility for 5-6 staff and will contribute to the effective service coordination and prioritisation of daily workloads between clinical services within the DHB’s.

The Asset Engineer role will support the 2DHB’s strategy by providing operational and tactical management of Clinical Equipment Infrastructure and Assets. This is achieved by maintaining the Computerised Maintenance Management System, understanding and translating clinical equipment required service levels into workable maintenance programmes and solutions. Ensuring all “contracted” clinical technology and equipment within the region is maintained to a level of performance and safety fit for the purpose for which it was bought. Maintain the register of clinical equipment “support levels” and document these risks with mitigations for the senior management team. This role will assist in documenting all Clinical Equipment used regionally and provide regular reports for capital replacement programs.

Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team

We are a friendly, diverse and supportive team who have recently been through a restructure and had a significant investment made into growing the service regionally and we look forward to developing our team and business with the successful candidate.

Manufacturing is the production of merchandise for use or sale using labour and machines, tools, chemical and biological processing, or formulation. The term may refer to a range of human activity, from handicraft to high tech, but is most commonly applied to industrial production, in which raw materials are transformed into finished goods on a large scale. Such finished goods may be sold to other manufacturers for the production of other, more complex products, such as aircraft, household appliances, furniture, sports equipment or automobiles, or sold to wholesalers, who in turn sell them to retailers, who then sell them to end users and consumers.
