Rare Opportunity / Support the operations of a specialised project!Collaborate with National stakeholdersBe a part of a supportive management team! This is a rare opportunity where no two days are the same! As the Regional Operations Supervisor, your role entails supervising and coordinating all security operations pertaining to Venues (Training Sites & Hotels) in Wellington and Hamilton. You will be responsible for establishing the safety and security for all key stakeholders and ensuring the seamless execution of events, in collaboration with our National Tournament Manager, to support the success of our business and clients. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive security plan for the sporting event in the assigned regions/ venues.Liaise with the National Tournament Manager, private security, and other stakeholders to coordinate security measures and ensure compliance with regulationsAssess potential security risks and threats and develop strategies to mitigate themManage and oversee a team of security personnel responsible for the security of the sporting eventEnsure the proper use and maintenance of security equipment, including uniform and RTs, alongside any other equipment required.Provide regular security briefings and training to security staffCoordinate emergency response procedures and ensure all personnel are properly trained and prepared to respond to any potential emergenciesConduct regular security audits and inspections to identify areas for improvementStay up-to-date on the latest security technologies, trends, and best practicesEnsure no shift goes uncovered by developing an inclusive culture and processes. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in security management or a related field, preferably in the sports industryExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levelsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate potential security risks and threatsAbility to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of security personnelFamiliarity with security deployment and risk assessments would be beneficialKnowledge of local laws and regulations related to private security and safetyAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the sporting event schedule Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.‘
