Exciting opportunity for a NZ Registered Mental Health Professional to join the leadership team at the Tupu Ora, the regional specialist eating disorders service.
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Tupu Ora is a regional specialist service providing assessment and treatment for children, adolescents and adults with eating disorders. Tupu Ora also provides consultation to and liaison with community mental health services and hospitals in the Metro Auckland region.
Tupu Ora provides specialist community based assessment and treatment for children, adolescents and adults presenting with severe eating disorders, along with an intensive group programme. There are strong linkages with the Tupu Ora residential treatment service.
Our team is made up of experienced mental health professionals including Specialist Psychiatrists, General practitioners, Dieticians, Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychotherapists, Mental Health nurses and Occupational Therapists.
Responsibilities include oversight and management of clinical systems and processes, ensuring appropriate review of service user care, and clinical support and guidance to clinicians. Supporting our service to meet key performance objectives is an important part of the role.
Reporting to the Clinical Team Leader there will be opportunities to take part in recruitment and retention activities and involvement in service development projects. You will work closely with the Lead Clinician and Practice Supervisors in the service.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
We welcome applications from experienced NZ registered Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychotherapists and Social Workers.
You will need to be clinically experienced with proven leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively at a senior clinical level with service users, colleagues, mental health service providers, government agencies and the NGO sector. There will be an opportunity to develop your leadership skills through the Te Toka Tumai Auckland Leadership Development Programme.
- Experience working with eating disorders would be an advantage.
- You must be a NZ registered Mental Health Professional with a current APC.
- A full and clean NZ driver licence is essential in this community based role.
