Hospitality Duty ManagerJob Description We are on the search for a part-time, committed and proactive Duty Manager for our wine/cocktail bar in Ponsonby. Your main duties will be: Overseeing the operations of the bar during the shift and maintaining compliance with council regulations and Liquor Licencing requirements; Overseeing staff on duty during shift, including bartenders and barbacks; Ensuring bar is well-stocked and clean; Taking customer orders and processing POS transactions; Making our own custom cocktails and a wide range of classic cocktails; Helping out with maintaining our high level of cleanliness during shift; Other general hospitality duties as required. Duty Manager Qualifications/Skills: Accomplished mixologist. Problem-solving and multitasking skills. Interpersonal relationship skills. Attention to detail. Leadership ability along with organisational skills. Customer service skills. Knowledge of food, beverage, and hospitality industries. Calm under pressure and able to maintain restraint in stressful situations. Ability to deescalate tense interactions. Comfortable with hospitality and sales technology platforms. Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements: Auckland Council Managers Licence essential. Qualification in hospitality, hotel or restaurant management a plus. At least 2-3 years prior experience working in a bar or restaurant. Supervisory experience. Familiarity with point-of-sale tracking technology and bar and restaurant management platforms. We are looking for someone to work 2+ evenings a week at this point in time, particularly on Thursday and Saturday evenings, usually from 4.30pm until close.
