The opportunity:
Our Department of Professional Practice (DPP) / Assurance and Audit Quality (AAQ) team helps uphold trust by assuring the accuracy and completeness of audit information used by organisations and stakeholders.
We're seeking a Director who can influence and lead programs of work to improve audit quality for our teams.
Day to day you will:
Provide auditing and assurance advice including interpretation of KPMG's audit methodology, International Standards on Auditing and International Standards on Assurance Engagements
Develop and deliver training internally and externally
Provide insights on current developments in auditing and assurance and communicate to teams any impacts
Develop policies, templates and resources to assist auditors in performing their engagements 
Perform in-flight monitoring reviews and practical and technically sound coaching
Undertake business development activities and identify opportunities to deliver AAQ services
Coaching and mentoring junior team members
Be an active contributor to the wider DPP team, its strategic direction and implementation of its strategy
Assist in the deployment of future audit initiatives
What you'll bring to our team:
A CA qualification (or similar) with 7+ years audit experience gained in a public accountancy firm, corporate or governmental reporting environment
Strong working knowledge of audit and assurance standards
An ability to express views and ideas articulately, from both a written and oral perspective
Strong technical and analytical skills with an eye for detail and awareness of broader business issues
The vision to participate in strategic planning and marketing of assurance advisory services
Ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads and meet agreed timeframes
