About the Role The Warehouse Leading Hand is responsible for providing operational and leadership support to the Auckland Warehouse Manager, overseeing daily warehouse operations, with a keen eye for continuous improvement. Supervision of quality, WHS and operation efficiency will be key to ensuring customer experience is at the forefront. The role is hands on in nature and will include a number of warehouse related activities, ensuring on time fulfilment and coordination of inbound and outbound inventory. You will be accountable for ensuring all operational/warehouse KPI's and SLA's are met and maintained, and will provide leadership to the small, close-knit team. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Supervise and 'hands on involvement' of inventory management practices. Oversee and participate in all receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance functions. Supervise manpower and workflows. Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements. Assist with team building and staff engagement through coaching and motivation of team members. Ensure that a high level of customer service is met. We are seeking someone who has the following skills and experience: Previous leadership, supervisory experience within a warehouse pick & pack environment Experienced and licensed reach and counterbalance forklift operator Drivers Licence Experience in a fast-paced warehouse Previous working exposure with warehouse management systems Demonstrated computer skills, ideally Microsoft Excel and Outlook A pro-active and 'can do' attitude with a keen eye for process/continuous improvement Demonstrated experience managing a high performing team Must have New Zealand working rights Benefits and Culture: In exchange for your expertise and contribution, we offer the opportunity to play an exciting role with an Australian born entrepreneurial company.
